The Company is in search of a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead nursing excellence at its Newark Campus. The CNO will be a key member of the campus executive leadership team, providing strategic leadership for nursing practice, patient care services, quality and safety outcomes, workforce engagement, and operational excellence. This visionary nursing executive will champion nursing excellence, foster innovation, and advance the organization's commitment to delivering exceptional, compassionate care. The role involves close partnership with the Campus President and the Chief Nurse Executive to ensure alignment of nursing strategy, clinical excellence, and organizational priorities. The CNO will also lead the campus-based nursing leadership teams, support the advancement of nursing practice, and drive strategic nursing initiatives. Candidates for the CNO position must have a Master's degree in Nursing, current RN licensure, and certification in nursing leadership and/or a clinical specialty. A progressive senior nursing leadership background within a large, complex healthcare system is essential, with a proven track record in leading nursing operations, quality and patient safety programs, and transformational change. The ideal candidate will be a transformational leader, adept at building strong relationships and influencing outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups. They should be highly organized, data-informed, and capable of translating strategic priorities into sustainable results that enhance patient care, caregiver engagement, and operational performance. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), PhD, or other doctoral degree, as well as nationally recognized nursing leadership certification, is preferred.
