Client Controller, Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Services Greater Philadelphia, PA Area

The Company is seeking a Client Controller to manage the financial picture for a portfolio of clients and grow into a fractional CFO role. Responsibilities include reviewing monthly closes, preparing financial statements and KPI reports, leading financial review meetings, and building budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. The role also involves identifying financial issues and recommending practical solutions, coordinating timely client deliverables, and supporting job costing, work-in-progress schedules, and lender financial packages. Over time, the Client Controller will take ownership of client relationships and provide strategic financial guidance to business owners. Candidates should have at least four years of accounting experience, such as controller, assistant controller, senior accountant, or public accounting work with small businesses. Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and financial statement preparation is required, along with proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel; experience with other accounting platforms is preferred. Applicants should communicate financial information clearly to non-accountants, manage multiple clients independently, and have an interest in business strategy and company growth. Construction accounting, CPA credentials or progress toward a CPA, lender reporting experience, and relevant accounting software certifications are advantageous.
