Vice President of Preconstruction & Estimating, Heavy Civil / Paving

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Preconstruction and Estimating to build and lead a centralized function for a heavy civil construction organization. Responsibilities include standardizing estimating processes across operating divisions, improving estimate accuracy and estimate-to-actual performance, and partnering with operations and finance to strengthen profitability. The role also involves mentoring estimating and operational leaders, overseeing multiple business units with full P&L accountability, and developing scalable systems to support growth. Candidates should bring senior leadership experience in preconstruction or estimating, such as serving as a vice president, director, chief estimator, or regional leader. Strong experience in heavy civil construction is required, with backgrounds in asphalt and paving, highways and roadways, or infrastructure particularly relevant; aviation experience is an asset. The ideal candidate has built or transformed an estimating function and can develop leaders, systems, and processes that deliver lasting operational improvements.
