Fractional Head of Enterprise Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

The Company is seeking a Head of Enterprise Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to establish and lead a formal SRE capability. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the SRE strategy, operating model, and governance framework, and for driving the adoption of key SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management. This strategic, hands-on leadership role requires a leader who can build and manage a centralized SRE team, partner with senior stakeholders across various technology and business disciplines, and ensure that reliability is a core product and platform capability. The Head of Enterprise SRE will also be tasked with advancing incident management maturity, overseeing operational readiness, and driving automation and observability strategies. Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, with a Master's degree or comparable technology leadership experience preferred. A minimum of 10 years of technology experience, including at least 5 years in SRE or related fields, is required, along with a proven track record in people management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SRE practices, strong technical skills in cloud and hybrid infrastructure, and experience in leading high-severity incident responses. The role demands a leader with strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams to embed reliability requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
