This role requires active participation in all phases of the development process, from feasibility studies to post-implementation analysis, and the ability to provide user and operational support. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in applications development, with the ability to analyze complex problems, recommend advanced programming solutions, and ensure the security and functionality of system designs. Applicants must have 7-12 years of relevant experience, with a focus on Java, Spark, Big Data, Oracle, and Autosys. Experience in Agile processes is also essential. The role demands a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a proven track record in systems analysis and programming, and a history of managing and implementing successful projects. The Senior Java Engineer will be expected to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and be adept at consulting and project management techniques. The position also involves serving as a mentor to junior analysts and requires the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independence of judgment and autonomy.
