Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences

The Company is seeking a Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences to serve as its chief academic and administrative officer. The Dean will lead the School’s divisions, faculty, and staff; oversee its budget and academic programs; and represent the School within the institution and the wider community. Responsibilities include advancing the School’s academic direction, supporting faculty and the liberal arts, stewarding resources, and building trust through transparent communication. The Dean will also develop and articulate a vision for the School’s future. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate or other terminal degree in a discipline represented in the School, with a record of teaching and scholarship meriting appointment as a tenured full professor. Progressively responsible academic leadership experience—such as serving as a department chair, division leader, associate dean, or dean—is required; experience leading a large, multidisciplinary school or college is preferred. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to the liberal arts and sciences and to the mission and heritage of a liberal arts institution.
