Associate Vice President, Corporate Communications, Functions Greater San Antonio, TX Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Corporate Communications to lead communications strategy for enterprise functions. The role partners with senior leaders to turn complex priorities into clear narratives that connect business strategy, transformation, culture, risk, technology, and employee experience. Responsibilities include advising on internal and external communications, executive visibility, reputation opportunities, and emerging issues; building employee understanding and stakeholder trust; and coordinating messaging across the organization. The leader will also develop a high-performing communications team, foster strategic storytelling and strong cross-functional partnerships, and ensure communications-related risks are appropriately managed. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional education or experience, at least 10 years of progressive corporate communications experience, and six years of people leadership experience. Strong writing, verbal communication, strategic thinking, business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to influence stakeholders are required. Particularly relevant experience includes advising senior executives, supporting enterprise functions, leading communications through transformation or reputationally sensitive situations, and building effective teams in complex organizations. Extensive experience in executive communications, reputation management, strategic storytelling, and employee communications is an advantage.
