The Company is seeking a VP, Portfolio Manager Lead to oversee a team of Portfolio Managers and Analysts dedicated to middle market and sponsor-backed cash flow lending relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for the team's performance in portfolio monitoring, credit quality, risk management, and borrower relationship management, ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements. This leadership role involves mentoring and developing the team, as well as partnering with various internal functions to maintain a high-quality portfolio and support strategic growth initiatives. The VP, Portfolio Manager Lead will also be involved in problem credit escalation, portfolio exception management, and driving consistency in underwriting standards and risk management procedures. Applicants for the VP, Portfolio Manager Lead position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in commercial banking, leveraged finance, or related areas, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. A strong understanding of commercial credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and risk grading methodologies is essential, as is experience in managing cash flow lending portfolios. The role requires the ability to evaluate complex credit structures, identify emerging risks, and lead teams in a collaborative manner. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and portfolio management systems is expected, and completion of a formal credit training program is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills, and a proven track record of influencing stakeholders and driving process improvements.
