Vice President of Finance
About the Role
Greater San Diego, CA Area (Hybrid)
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Finance to take on a pivotal role in leading financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic finance initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-range planning activities, and will work closely with executive leadership to provide financial insights, strategic recommendations, and business performance analysis. Key responsibilities also include developing and maintaining financial models, KPI reporting, and executive reporting packages, as well as overseeing organizational and product profitability reporting. The role demands a hands-on approach to CECL modeling and reporting, experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar tools, and a proven track record in managing and developing high-performing finance teams. Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates with a CPA, CFA, and/or MBA. A minimum of 10 years' of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or financial management, particularly within the financial services, banking, or credit union sectors, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, as well as hands-on experience with CECL modeling and reporting. Proven leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication and executive presentation skills are essential. Experience in profitability analysis, asset/liability management, and enterprise financial reporting is also highly valued.
