Vice President, Procurement Greater San Diego, CA Area

The Company is seeking a VP, Sr. Manager Procurement to lead the procurement process, develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, and leading a team of procurement professionals to optimize purchasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include developing sourcing and category strategies, liaising with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, and proactively identifying cost management opportunities. The role also involves sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers, leading contract negotiations, and providing counsel on legal and business terms. The VP, Sr. Manager Procurement will be expected to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA preferred, and at least 7 years' experience in procurement or a related role, particularly within the banking industry. Applicants for the VP, Sr. Manager Procurement position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, with an MBA being preferred. A minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement or a related role is required, with a strong background in procurement consulting, finance shared services, and outsourcing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing the RFI/RFP process for large, complex categories of spend, as well as the implementation and operational management of the requisition to PO process. Deep experience in the banking industry is preferred, and experience with online sourcing/procurement tools is a plus. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset, as well as proficiency in Excel, talent in negotiations, and good leadership capabilities.
