The Company is seeking a Vice President of AI Engineering to lead and integrate its AI and data engineering capabilities. The role will establish engineering standards, delivery practices, and talent strategy while building teams that develop and deliver production-ready AI products. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering delivery, setting quality and evaluation practices, coordinating product teams across the U.S. and India, and managing dependencies between product development and production engineering. The VP will also guide the transition of engineering capabilities from external partners to internal teams, collaborate with product, architecture, design, and subject-matter leaders, and advise executives on delivery progress, risks, and organizational needs. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is preferred. The role requires 15 or more years of software and product engineering experience, including significant senior leadership experience and a record of building engineering organizations that deliver AI products. Applicants should bring current technical expertise in LLM-based and agentic systems, along with experience in data platforms, knowledge graphs, retrieval systems, and evaluation-driven development. Strong engineering management, hiring, delivery, and dependency-management skills are essential, as is experience leading distributed U.S. and India teams and coordinating complex programs across partners and time zones. Excellent executive communication and the ability to balance technical depth with organizational leadership are also required.
