Associate Vice President, Credit Risk Officer

The Company is seeking a Credit Officer 2 with a focus on credit risk. This seasoned professional role requires the application of in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes within the credit risk function. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating subject matter and industry expertise, evaluating complex issues, and making decisions with a substantial impact. Key responsibilities include developing recommendations to adjust credit policies, implementing initiatives for policy compliance, and utilizing statistical and analytical techniques to assess credit and financial performance. The role also involves preparing risk management presentations for senior management and ensuring that business decisions align with the firm's risk and compliance standards. Applicants for this role at the company should have 5-8 years' of relevant experience, with a degree in a quantitative field such as economics, engineering, operations research, business finance, or mathematics. A Master's degree is preferred. Previous experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training in the financial services industry is also a requirement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAS or SQL programming, be highly organized, and possess effective interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. The role demands a professional who can apply credit and risk principles to business goals, demonstrate a high sense of urgency, and is capable of leading and influencing teams.
