The Company is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with a focus on Data and AI Platforms to join their Group Technology team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design, engineering, security, and operational excellence of enterprise-scale data, analytics, AI, and agentic platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient platform capabilities for a variety of workloads. Responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, and establishing engineering standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GCP, experience with enterprise-scale solutions, and expertise in BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and cloud-native data platforms. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' of infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering experience, with at least 5 years' specifically on GCP. The role demands a deep understanding of cloud IAM, security controls, and data governance, as well as hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and cloud automation practices. The candidate should be adept at leading technical design discussions, troubleshooting complex production issues, and mentoring engineers. While not mandatory, certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer, and experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, or agentic workloads, are considered advantageous.
