Head of Engineering Enablement & Automation

The Company is in search of a Head of Engineering Enablement and Automation to play a pivotal role in its technology transformation. The successful candidate will be a collaborative technology leader, responsible for strengthening engineering capability, championing automation, and building effective partnerships across the business. This role involves leading engineering enablement in various areas, including quality engineering, DevOps, release and deployment management, environments, observability, and tooling. The Head of Engineering Enablement and Automation will also be tasked with coaching and developing a specialist team, establishing engineering standards, and identifying practical opportunities for AI and automation. Applicants for the Head of Engineering Enablement and Automation position at the company should have around 10 years' of experience in technology delivery, quality engineering, automation, or release management within complex enterprise environments. The role requires proven people leadership skills, the ability to motivate teams, influence stakeholders, and guide organizational change. Experience in establishing and improving engineering practices, a strong technical understanding of test automation, CI/CD, release processes, environments, and observability is essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing vendors and outsourced technology partners, with exposure to AI-enabled software development and experience in regulated environments being advantageous.
