Vice President, Mechanical Engineering

Greater Tampa, FL Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Mechanical Engineering with a focus on healthcare design. The successful candidate will be a licensed Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in healthcare design, particularly on the east coast. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in both technical leadership and business development, as the primary responsibility is to expand the healthcare design practice in the greater Tampa area. The Vice President will be involved in the full project cycle, from design to construction close-out, and will be expected to coordinate and approve mechanical design plans, ensure compliance with codes and regulations, and apply advanced engineering techniques to enhance project outcomes. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, at least 12 years' of relevant experience, and an Engineer license (multi-state preferred). The role demands a deep understanding of mechanical design, particularly in the healthcare industry, and a well-established network within the local community. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in engineering, LEED AP certification, and a minimum of 5 years' of project management experience. Responsibilities also include managing client relationships, providing technical input on business pursuits, and leading cross-functional teams to execute project work. The Vice President is expected to make ethical decisions, uphold workplace safety, and adhere to the company's code of conduct and policies.
