The Company is seeking a VP R&D to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading and scaling a global R&D organization, driving technical excellence, and ensuring the reliability and performance of high-impact systems. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background in software engineering, particularly in large-scale, high-traffic, data-driven systems. The VP R&D will be responsible for owning the technical vision and architecture across multiple core product areas, as well as partnering closely with product leadership to deliver initiatives that have a measurable business impact. To thrive in this position, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in senior R&D leadership roles and experience in managing large R&D teams. A background in building and operating large-scale, high-traffic, data-driven systems is essential, and experience in advertising technology, marketplaces, or large-scale platforms is a plus. The role also involves managing multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, algorithm experts, and data scientists, and requires a leader who can build strong leadership layers, talent development plans, and succession across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the senior technology leadership team, with a focus on driving engineering excellence, reliability, scalability, and performance across the company's systems.
