Head of Legal Affairs

The Company is in search of a Senior Legal Counsel to establish and lead its legal function during a pivotal phase of growth in the offshore wind sector. This hands-on and strategic role involves a significant focus on legal matters, administration, and contract delivery, as well as senior advisory responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a trusted commercial and risk advisor, supporting complex projects across multiple jurisdictions. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, managing the patent portfolio, handling legal disputes, and developing corporate governance policies. The role also requires a strong background in financial matters, experience with board-level business management, and exposure to growth financing and investor relations. The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have an LL.B / Ll.M Master degree in Dutch Law, with a focus on commercial or contract law, and 5-8 years' of relevant experience in the offshore energy sector. A proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, experience with intellectual property matters, and excellent language skills in Dutch and English are essential. The role demands a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong affinity for financial matters, and the ability to bring structure to commercial decision-making. The candidate should be adept at managing the company's insurance policies, building internal contract templates, and processes, and be prepared to work closely with the leadership team on multi-year business planning and financial modeling.
