Head of Middle School

The Company seeks a Head of Middle School to lead its Grades 4–8 program, overseeing faculty, academic programming, and daily operations. The role includes working closely with student-support staff and serving as a key point of connection for current and prospective families. The Head will collaborate with other school leaders to strengthen curriculum alignment across grade levels and advocate for the middle school’s needs. The successful candidate will help shape the use of new learning spaces, build trusting relationships, and guide thoughtful, collaborative improvement in teaching and learning. Candidates should bring progressively responsible educational leadership experience, a record of effective teaching, and knowledge of research-informed middle school curriculum and pedagogy across Grades 4–8. Experience hiring, coaching, evaluating, supporting, and retaining faculty is required, along with sound judgment in partnering with families and leading change. The role calls for skill in cross-grade curriculum collaboration and a strong commitment to inclusion and belonging; familiarity with and commitment to an Episcopal approach to educating the whole child is also expected. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferred.
