The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Academic Experience Engineering. The successful candidate will be a seasoned servant leader with a strong background in application engineering, software development, and educational technology. This role is pivotal in leading teams responsible for the engineering, modernization, and continuous improvement of applications and platforms that support the teaching and learning environment. The AVP will be tasked with overseeing application engineering teams, collaborating with academic and business leaders, and ensuring the delivery of secure, accessible, and reliable solutions that align with the company's academic priorities. Key responsibilities for the AVP include developing and executing application strategies, managing the academic experience engineering budget, and leading the application lifecycle management process. The role also involves establishing engineering governance, and quality measures, and partnering with various teams to support effective testing, and deployment activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of experience in application engineering, and a proven track record of leading technical teams. Experience in SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies, as well as expertise in engineering governance, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership, is essential. A Master's degree and professional certifications in related areas are preferred.
