The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of its network of public charter schools. The COO will be responsible for modernizing and leading a vision for people-centered, data- and tech-powered operations, with a focus on creating systems and tools that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational backbone across all campuses, including facilities and technology, and requires a leader who is a problem-solver, a do-er, and a thoughtful and rigorous operator. The successful candidate will be a member of the executive team, driving strategic decisions that align with the company's long-term priorities, and will be expected to model and reinforce the company's culture and values in all interactions. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have an unwavering commitment to its vision, mission, and values, with a strong background in operations, finance, or general management. The role demands exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to lead and develop a team across diverse functional areas. Experience in K-12 education, charter schools, or another multi-site non-profit or mission-driven organization is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA, MPA, or related graduate degree strongly preferred), at least 8 years' of experience, and a proven track record of creating alignment on shared goals. The COO will be expected to manage multiple complex workstreams, be a persuasive communicator, and have a builder's mindset, with the ability to operate with a high degree of independence.
