Greater Waterbury, CT Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Partnerships to play a pivotal role in its mission to ensure that all children have access to an excellent education. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing deep, mission-aligned coalitions with schools, districts, and organizations to drive impact both locally and statewide. This role demands a passionate individual with a strong background in the educational sector, particularly in under-resourced communities, and a commitment to addressing the systemic issues that lead to unequal educational outcomes. The Managing Director will set the vision and direction for school partnership strategy, lead the execution of alumni engagement strategies, and be actively involved in the execution of the company's core programs. Applicants for the Managing Director of Partnerships position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' professional experience in schools, school districts, or mission-driven nonprofits. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in building and managing relationships, as well as the ability to influence outcomes and make sound decisions in complex environments. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, and experience in project management are essential. The ideal candidate will also have a Master's degree, experience in a formal leadership role, and a demonstrated commitment to community-centered or equity-driven work. Spanish language proficiency is a plus. The role is fast-paced and externally focused, with a significant amount of time spent in schools and community settings, and demands a high level of availability, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
