The Company is seeking a Vice President of Research and Development to spearhead the strategic direction and commercialization of advanced delivery systems, with a focus on oral dissolving films for dietary supplements, bioactive peptides, and drug API. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the product development pipeline, driving novel product development from formulation to manufacturing, and ensuring compliance with FDA cGMP, DSHEA, and international regulatory frameworks. Key responsibilities include strategic product innovation, peptide formulation and stability, process engineering, organoleptic and matrix optimization, regulatory and quality compliance, intellectual property creation, and clinical validation. The role also involves competitive intelligence, pipeline prioritization, and sales and client engagement. Applicants for the Vice President of R&D position at the company should have a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with 7-10+ years of R&D leadership experience, preferably in thin-film technologies, oral delivery systems, or novel nutraceutical dosage forms. The role requires a solid understanding of chemistry, particularly in the areas of API degradation pathways, peptide-polymer interactions, and analytical methods for peptide quantification. Deep operational knowledge of FDA regulations and experience in scaling drug or supplement delivery platforms are essential. Preferred competencies include direct experience with transmucosal delivery mechanisms, a strong network of industry partners, and the ability to articulate technical innovation to a range of stakeholders.
