Greater Winnipeg, Canada Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a VP of Operations to lead the delivery of back-office and Fundserv-related services for fund company clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational accuracy, service quality, risk management, regulatory compliance, and the performance of the operations team. This hands-on leadership role requires a strong background in financial services operations, with a focus on Fundserv processing, and a proven track record in managing time-sensitive, high-volume operations. The VP of Operations will also be involved in team leadership and development, process improvement, and automation, and will serve as a senior point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party service providers. Applicants for the VP of Operations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or post-secondary qualification in a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in financial services operations. Strong people management skills, a deep understanding of operational controls, and experience in process improvement and automation are essential. The role also requires a candidate with a strong understanding of transaction processing, reconciliations, and batch processing, as well as experience in managing client relationships and complex service escalations. Familiarity with Canadian investment fund regulations and industry practices is preferred, and a relevant professional designation or industry qualification is an asset. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, capable of driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
