Regional Vice President of Sales
About the Role
Remote (anywhere in California)
The Company is seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales for California to lead the sales strategy, revenue growth, and market development across the state. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving core and supplemental sales goals, building a strong pipeline, and developing the sales team. This role requires a leader with established relationships in California's educational districts, a strong understanding of the market, and the ability to spend a significant amount of time in the field, directly supporting the sales team and customers. The RVP will also be involved in strategic adoption opportunities, leading the California Reading/ELA adoption strategy, and ensuring the company's presence at key educational events. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a degree in education, business, English, marketing, or a related field, and a minimum of 7-10 years of successful K-12 educational sales experience. The role demands a proven track record in sales leadership, revenue goal achievement, and a deep knowledge of California's district purchasing processes, curriculum decision-making, and competitive dynamics. The RVP will be expected to lead strategic opportunities, partner with cross-functional teams, and represent the company at various conferences. Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to travel extensively throughout California and nationally as required.
