Head of Security

The Company is seeking a Head of Security to establish and lead its security function, set a risk-based strategy, and strengthen the security of its systems and operations. Responsibilities include leading incident detection, response, and recovery; embedding application security into development; and hardening cloud infrastructure, access controls, and delivery pipelines. The role also oversees monitoring, vulnerability management, compliance, audits, and third-party risk, while collaborating with product and risk teams on fraud and account security. The Head of Security will guide the safe use of AI tools and systems, build and mentor a security team, and communicate security posture and risks to leadership and other stakeholders. Candidates should have at least eight years of information or application security experience, including three or more years leading security teams or functions, and a record of managing high-stakes incidents. Strong knowledge of cloud and container security, application security in microservices environments, detection and monitoring, compliance programs, and secure CI/CD practices is required. Applicants should be able to review TypeScript/Node.js code and infrastructure-as-code, and have hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools for security work. Excellent communication, sound judgment under pressure, and a collaborative approach to working with engineering and business teams are essential. Experience in financial technology, payments, crypto, fraud prevention, or securing AI systems is an advantage.
