Head of EHS

The Company is seeking a Head of EHS to lead Safety, Quality, and Environment activities at a complex chemical manufacturing site. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable occupational safety, environmental, and chemical-industry regulations; strengthening safety and environmental processes; and advising operational teams on consistent implementation of standards. The role also serves as a key contact for regulatory authorities and involves supporting environmental protection, emissions, and major-incident requirements. The successful candidate will lead a specialist team and collaborate with internal stakeholders across the organization. Candidates should have a strong background in the chemical industry or chemical manufacturing and approximately four or more years of relevant EHS or SQU experience. A solid understanding of German occupational safety and environmental legislation is required, along with relevant knowledge or qualifications in environmental protection, emissions, major-incident management, and workplace safety. Strong German language skills and confidence communicating with authorities are essential. The ideal candidate will bring effective leadership, communication, and influencing skills to promote compliance across a complex industrial environment.
