Head of Legal & Compliance

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal and Compliance for the Nordic region. This senior leadership role is pivotal in providing legal advice, leading legal compliance, and governance across the Nordic countries. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and developing a modern, pragmatic, and solution-oriented legal and compliance function. Key responsibilities include leading the Nordic compliance framework, building a strong culture of integrity, overseeing compliance monitoring, and providing pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of business matters. The role also involves advising on strategic projects, managing external legal counsel, and supporting negotiations with key counterparties. Applicants for the Head of Legal and Compliance Nordic position at the company should have approximately 8-12 years' of relevant experience in senior legal and compliance roles, preferably within highly regulated industries. A Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent law degree is required, with a strong background in commercial, regulatory, and compliance law. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising senior stakeholders, strong expertise in compliance program management, and extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements. A pragmatic, business-oriented approach, and the ability to balance legal risk, ethical standards, and commercial priorities are essential. The role demands strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently in an international matrix environment. Fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in Swedish is meritorious.
