Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the stabilization of its existing mission-critical software estate and the development of a next-generation cloud platform. The CTO will oversee engineering, quality assurance, DevOps, cloud, data, and infrastructure, leading established teams through managers while working hands-on with a smaller platform team. Responsibilities include setting delivery priorities and metrics, maintaining security and reliability, establishing program governance, and guiding incident response. The role also owns the migration of customers and services to a multi-tenant cloud platform while preserving integrations, accreditations, and safety requirements. Candidates should have at least eight years of software engineering experience, including four or more years leading teams, and be capable of contributing directly to a small engineering squad. Required experience includes personally leading a customer migration from on-premises software to multi-tenant SaaS and strong expertise in C#/.NET, SQL Server, and Azure, with the ability to assess legacy C++ and .NET Framework systems. Daily use of AI-assisted development tools and the ability to demonstrate their impact on delivery are expected. The ideal candidate has experience making difficult organizational and project decisions, managing research and development against financial goals, and explaining technical trade-offs in clear commercial terms.
