Associate Vice President, Engineering Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and scale one of its Lending teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the technology that supports the origination, funding, servicing, and sale of consumer and commercial loans within a compliant, end-to-end lifecycle. This role requires a technical leader with a strong engineering background and a passion for people management, who can drive the development of reliable and scalable solutions across complex domains. The Engineering Manager will be expected to lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team, as well as partner with product management and other stakeholders to set priorities and deliver high-impact features. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in engineering management or technical leadership roles. Proficiency in at least one backend language, experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and event-driven systems are essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams, delivering complex distributed systems in production environments, and promoting operational excellence through strong engineering practices. Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or other regulated industries is preferred, particularly with a focus on high-availability, high-throughput transaction processing systems. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
