The Company is seeking an Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Specialty Services in the Ambulatory setting. The successful candidate will be the Senior Nursing Leader for one or more service lines, with a primary focus on nursing operations, people management, and the formulation and execution of strategic and clinical goals. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of excellence in patient care, and the ACNO will be responsible for maintaining an environment that fosters professional nursing practice, inquiry, and evidence-based practices. Key responsibilities include the continuous evaluation of patient quality, safety, and performance, as well as the development and implementation of improvement programs. The ACNO will also be involved in multi-disciplinary collaboration, professional development activities, and will have a significant role in budget preparation and monitoring. Applicants for the Associate Chief Nursing Officer position must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a Master’s degree in a related field, and a current New York State Registered Nursing License. A minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience with a clinical focus in a healthcare system is required. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a proven track record in developing and executing clinical programs that yield measurable outcomes in various domains. The role demands a leader who can attract, retain, and develop a high-performing nursing leadership team, and who is adept at mentoring and developing nursing staff to ensure a strong pipeline of future nursing leaders. Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as with nursing excellence programs, is essential. The ACNO will also be expected to advocate for the necessary resources to support an optimal work environment and exceptional patient care.
