Interim Executive Director

The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director to establish a robust governance and operating framework for its non-profit, affordable housing development arm. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing the necessary tools, routines, and training to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the organization. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in executive, nonprofit, affordable housing, public sector, or organizational development, with a strong background in institutional systems and Board-facing work. The Interim Executive Director will be expected to have a working knowledge of nonprofit governance, fiduciary duties, public accountability, procurement, internal controls, and GAAP-based accounting, as well as the ability to operate effectively in a governmental/shared-services environment. Applicants for the Interim Executive Director position at the company should possess the ability to translate complex legal, financial, and development requirements into practical policies and procedures. Strong facilitation, project management, writing, change management, and executive communication skills are essential. The role also demands independence from the company's vendors and transactions, or full disclosure of any conflicts of interest. Experience with LIHTC development is preferred. The Interim Executive Director will be tasked with a time-sensitive project, with the goal of leaving the organization with a durable framework that can continue to function effectively beyond their tenure.
