Vice President of Development Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to grow philanthropic revenue and build a sustainable fundraising function. The role focuses on identifying and securing significant new commitments, cultivating major donors, and developing a strong pipeline while strengthening existing funder relationships. The successful candidate will shape fundraising strategy, assess opportunities, engage the board, and represent the organization in senior-level funder conversations. As a member of the executive team, the Vice President will help guide organizational growth and build development capacity. Candidates must have a record of personally securing commitments of $100,000 or more and generating new funding from funders they identified and acquired. They should have direct fundraising experience with at least two of the following: private foundations, corporate partners, and major individual donors, along with experience building revenue in a growing organization without relying on an established institution’s donor base. Strong judgment, executive-level relationship skills, and working fluency with AI tools used in fundraising workflows are required. Preferred qualifications include seven or more years of directly soliciting major commitments, experience securing gifts above $250,000, and experience building a major-giving program or serving on an executive team.
