Head of Credit Risk

The Company is in search of a Head of Credit Risk to take on a pivotal leadership role in the development and management of the credit risk function. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and maintaining the credit risk framework, including the creation of scorecards and lending appetite. This role also involves enhancing the team's analytics capability through transformation and automation, as well as providing strategic direction to a small team. The Head of Credit Risk will be responsible for designing and reporting management information, and must ensure oversight and governance of the underwriting and arrears teams. Applicants for the Head of Credit Risk position at the company should have a background that includes prior experience in an FCA regulated firm, with a strong focus on credit assessment and underwriting. The role requires demonstrable experience in credit risk policy implementation, as well as a proven track record in managing or leading a small team within a relevant capacity. Experience in credit modeling and strategy development is essential, and exposure to consumer credit or B2B lending portfolios is considered desirable. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming and automating processes, and will be instrumental in driving the commercial credit risk and wider governance/policies of the organization.
