Deputy Chief Technology Officer, Head of Development

The Company is seeking a Head of Software Engineering, also known as a Deputy CTO, to lead and manage a team of 20 software engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering teams in the development of core trading systems and execution platforms, owning the architecture and delivery of these systems, and driving their scalability, resilience, and regulatory readiness. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on both senior leadership and active development in Java and JavaScript. Strong domain knowledge in capital markets and trading systems is essential, as is experience in building data-heavy, workflow-driven, and highly regulated platforms. Applicants for the Head of Software Engineering position at the company should have a background in Java engineering environments, with a focus on back-end development, and experience in JavaScript. The role demands a leader who can bridge the gap between technical execution and business/client requirements, and who is adept at collaborating with product, DevOps, and other teams.
