Head of Purchasing, Hospitality Procurement

The Company is seeking a Head of Purchasing to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing suppliers, as well as actively seeking new opportunities to enhance the business's position across all buying categories. This role is pivotal in supporting the wider teams with procurement solutions, sourcing, tendering, and negotiating with suppliers. The Head of Purchasing will also be responsible for using data and insights to deliver reports and analysis, presenting solutions to internal customers, and concluding contracts with suppliers. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing category strategies, managing supplier relationships to ensure the quality and continuity of goods and services, and working with the procurement team to improve sourcing processes. The ideal candidate for the Head of Purchasing position at the company will have a background in buying, preferably across multiple categories, within a premium hospitality business or a purchasing organization for premium hospitality clients. Experience in fast-paced procurement, CIPS qualification, and a proven track record in developing category strategy and strategic sourcing are highly desirable. The role requires a hands-on approach, strong negotiation, writing, and admin skills, as well as good communication and organization abilities. The candidate must also be able to drive and be prepared to work in a dynamic and growing business environment.
