Senior Counsel

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its domestic legal team. The successful candidate will be a core member of the team, with a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to participate in governance forums. The role involves a full range of corporate financial domains, including handling various legal matters, drafting transaction agreements, and providing strategic legal solutions to business divisions. The Senior Counsel will also be responsible for the management of outside counsel and must have a proactive, problem-solving mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must have a legal professional background of at least 7 years, with expert legal skills in financial transactions and regulations. A Japan attorney qualification (Bengoshi) is required, and a foreign legal qualification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in financial business, a balanced perspective between business and legal viewpoints, and a high sense of ownership. The role demands the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, execute within deadlines, and a proactive, candid approach to expressing opinions. The position is permanent and full-time, with the option for remote work two days a week.
