Head of Accounting

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management and development of the accounting team, as well as ensuring the proper accounting of several companies within the group. This includes the preparation of monthly, annual, and consolidated financial statements according to Swiss GAAP, and the maintenance of consistent accounting processes and correct intercompany reconciliations. The role also involves the further development, standardization, and scaling of accounting processes, as well as the identification and implementation of automation and optimization in the finance area. The Head of Accounting will be a key player in shaping a modern accounting system and an efficient finance organization, with a focus on high data quality and clear processes. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and relevant professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international corporate environment. A strong background in group and consolidated accounting, as well as in the management of teams, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on mentality, be willing to participate operationally, and have a very good knowledge of financial statement preparation according to German GAAP. Experience with Lucanet and SAP or comparable ERP systems is advantageous. The role requires a structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach to work, with an interest in modern technologies and data-driven, efficient finance workflows. The ability to balance speed, risk, and accuracy is also important.
