Head of Accounting, Sports Sector

The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting for the Sports Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of the accounting team, ensuring the proper accounting of multiple companies within the group, and overseeing the preparation of monthly, annual, and consolidated financial statements in compliance with the Austrian Commercial Code. This role also involves maintaining consistent accounting processes, leading intercompany reconciliations, and driving the development and standardization of accounting processes. The Head of Accounting will be a key player in the implementation of automation and optimization initiatives in the finance area and will work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position should have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a strong background in international corporate accounting. The role requires expertise in group and consolidated accounting, as well as experience in team management. A hands-on approach, proficiency in German GAAP, and knowledge of financial software such as Lucanet and ERP systems like SAP are advantageous. The ideal candidate will be structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented, with a keen interest in modern technologies and data-driven work.
