The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Growth and Project Development. This senior lawyer will be responsible for all legal aspects of the development and construction of various energy facilities, including natural gas-fired power plants, battery storage facilities, solar farms, and carbon capture and sequestration facilities. The role involves planning, conducting, and supervising complex legal assignments, evaluating legal and business risks, and providing strategic advice to clients. The successful candidate will also be expected to represent the company in agency proceedings and litigation, as well as to provide leadership and support to less experienced attorneys and staff. Applicants must have an LLB or JD from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions, and have at least 10-12 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of legal principles, practices, and procedures, particularly in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal research and analytical abilities, and a strong understanding of federal and/or state law. The role is pivotal in the company's mission to meet the energy needs of the present and the future, and the Assistant General Counsel will play a key part in the organization's commitment to clean and reliable energy production.
