Managing Director, AI Biohub Greater Boston, MA Area

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its AI Biohub, a senior operating and investment role focused on leading the development of a top-tier AI Bio venture platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for venture platform leadership, including the recruitment of exceptional founders and early-stage companies, the design and operation of accelerator and venture creation programs, and the management of networks of mentors and operating partners. This role also involves leading investor engagement, co-leading an annual Demo Day, and ensuring an outstanding experience for founders throughout the venture creation process. The Managing Director will be instrumental in building strategic relationships with leading academic and healthcare institutions, as well as with corporate partners and investors, to establish the company as a leader in the AI Bio ecosystem. Applicants for the Managing Director position should have at least 7 years' of experience in venture capital, venture studios, startup leadership, or entrepreneurial ecosystem development, with a strong background in evaluating and supporting early-stage technology companies. A deep understanding of AI and exposure to biotechnology, therapeutics, computational biology, synthetic biology, or healthcare is essential. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a related field and an established network within the Boston innovation ecosystem. The role requires excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across various sectors. Success will be measured by the quality of founders recruited, the strength of the investment pipeline, and the impact of the AI Bio Hub on the regional innovation ecosystem.
