Head of Accounting, Manufacturing

The Company is in search of a Head of Accounting to spearhead the transformation of its accounting and controllership function. This pivotal role involves leading the modernization and scaling of the function within a growing, acquisitive business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing corporate accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, controls, systems, and process improvement. Key tasks include improving and standardizing close and reporting processes, leading ERP/system optimization, automation, and process improvements, and supporting acquisitions and integration activities. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' progressive accounting and controllership experience, with a strong background in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting. The role requires a proven track record in transforming accounting and controllership functions, as well as experience with ERP implementations, system optimization, and automation. The ideal candidate will have a background in controls, reporting, and audit, and must have prior experience in a senior leadership role such as Controller, CAO, or VP of Accounting, preferably in a PE-backed, manufacturing, or distribution industry. The Head of Accounting will also be expected to build, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team, and to partner with the CFO, executive leadership, and other stakeholders.
