About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer for the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the college's fundraising and development activities. This includes creating and implementing strategic plans to secure philanthropic support, building and maintaining relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders, and overseeing the college's advancement team. The Chief Development Officer will work closely with the college's leadership to ensure that fundraising efforts align with the institution's mission and goals. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a proven track record in fundraising, preferably in an academic or non-profit setting. A deep understanding of the principles of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship is essential. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a team player, and have a passion for the mission of the college and the advancement of knowledge in the humanities and sciences.
