Head of Software

The Company is seeking an experienced Head of Software to lead a multidisciplinary software department with a focus on embedded software, DSP, FPGA, and AI/ML. The successful candidate will be responsible for combining technical leadership with people management, strategic planning, and delivery oversight. This role involves leading and developing a software team, ensuring the department has the necessary skills and processes to deliver high-quality client projects, and driving continuous improvement in software development processes and best practices. The Head of Software will also be involved in technical sales, contribute to project planning, and build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders. Applicants for the Head of Software position at the company should have a strong track record of technical leadership in a complex engineering environment, preferably within a consultancy or fee-for-service organization. The role requires broad technical knowledge across the specified areas, with significant depth in at least one, and proven experience in managing engineers and building high-performing technical teams.
