The Company is seeking an experienced Head of Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) to spearhead the establishment and leadership of this critical capability within its new satellite manufacturing facility in Los Angeles. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the AIT team and defining all processes, procedures, and standards related to the assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft. This includes determining the flow of spacecraft through the facility, establishing cleanroom operations, and ensuring that all AIT activities meet the company's quality, schedule, cost, and safety requirements. The role also involves close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program, and operations teams to support the company's growth plans in the US. Applicants for the Head of AIT position should have a background that is deeply rooted in hardware, with a focus on the full lifecycle of spacecraft from subsystems to flight readiness. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years' experience in spacecraft AIT or a related field, significant experience in satellite or spacecraft manufacturing, and a proven track record of leadership in managing AIT engineers and technicians. A strong understanding of AIT processes, environmental testing, and high-reliability aerospace manufacturing is essential, as is a degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
