The Company is seeking a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to take on a pivotal role in the strategic development and professionalization of the purchasing function. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a long-term purchasing strategy that aligns with the group's business goals, fostering economies of scale, and managing the diverse commercial conditions of the different operations. This role demands a leader with a strong commercial focus, capable of making decisions that directly impact profitability, product range, and competitiveness. The CPO will also be tasked with identifying and realizing cost savings, developing the purchasing organization, and ensuring that sustainability and ethical guidelines are integrated into purchasing decisions. Applicants for the CPO position at the company should be strategic and business-driven, with a proven track record in strategic purchasing at a management level. A background in economics, supply chain, industrial economics, or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in strategic purchasing, category management, and a good understanding of supply chain, logistics, and risk management. Strong leadership skills, the ability to lead and develop organizations, and experience in major negotiations and complex agreements are essential. The role requires a confident, clear leader who is both analytical and strategic, yet pragmatic in driving change. Experience in international supplier markets, change management, and a focus on sustainability within the supply chain are also valuable assets.
