The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Project Controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing project risk management practices, integrating project controls with project delivery, and improving contract administration to mitigate construction claims. This role requires a strategic and experienced professional who can ensure that risk, cost, and schedule management are seamlessly integrated and embedded into the company's project delivery procedures. The Executive Director will also be tasked with establishing policies and standards for construction management, standardizing processes, and defining governance within project teams. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the development of a historical knowledge base for risk identification, monitoring project governance requirements, and serving as a high-level advisor to program and project delivery teams. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have at least six years of full-time experience in construction management on capital projects, with a significant portion of that time spent in a managerial or consultative capacity. The ideal candidate will have a combination of experience in construction inspection, journeyperson work in skilled trades, and relevant educational credentials. A New York State license as a professional engineer or registered architect is also a requirement. The role demands a professional with a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders. The Executive Director will be expected to champion continuous improvements in claims avoidance and prepare high-level reports and presentations for senior management.
