The Company is seeking a Director/Vice President, Counsel for its Institutional Legal team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the legal team, providing essential advice and support for the global institutional client business and capital markets investment activities. This role demands a collaborative and business-minded attorney with a J.D. and a minimum of 6-8 years' of experience, including a portion as a lawyer at an asset manager or private fund. The primary responsibilities include the establishment and maintenance of institutional separate accounts, development of investment vehicles for institutional clients, and preparation of trading documentation. The role also involves negotiating investment management agreements, organizing U.S. institutional collective investment vehicles, and providing guidance on regulatory matters. Applicants must have a strong background in investment management agreements, private fund and collective investment trust issues, and the life cycle of investments. Experience in client onboarding, product launches, and securities transactions is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team. A proactive, independent, and entrepreneurial approach, as well as a commitment to inclusive behaviors, are highly valued.
