About the Role
Greater Singapore, Singapore Area
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Credit Department, with a focus on structured products in the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for credit risk underwriting, approval, ongoing risk monitoring, and portfolio management of structured financing transactions. This role involves reviewing and assessing new loan applications, managing a credit portfolio, and closely monitoring non-performing loans and credit costs. The VP will also be expected to support the achievement of credit department goals, prepare credit summary papers, and engage with the front office on credit-related matters. Applicants must have at least 10 years' of experience in a financial institution's front office or credit department, or in a credit risk role, with a strong preference for those with experience in leveraged or LBO financing. A good understanding of legal documentation, deal structures, and strong analytical skills are essential. The role requires a tertiary degree in a related field, with additional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst being beneficial. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently, multitask, and manage tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
