Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment Law

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on Labor and Employment Law. The successful candidate will serve as a staff attorney, taking the lead in a variety of legal functions including arbitration, unemployment, mediation, and unfair labor practice charges. This role also involves representing the company in hearings and appeals before various commissions and the Department of Human Rights. The Associate General Counsel will be a key advisor on labor relations, providing legal guidance on policy changes, and assisting with legislative analysis related to personnel and HR matters. Applicants must have a strong background in federal and state labor law, with specific knowledge of acts such as the National Labor Relations Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Americans with Disabilities Act. The position requires experience in administrative legal proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations, as well as the ability to handle litigation in both state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will have a license to practice law in Illinois, at least one year of professional legal experience, and a proven track record in labor and employment law. The role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain effective working relationships, and a commitment to upholding the law and company policies.
