The Company is seeking a Provost and Vice-President Academic to serve as its Chief Academic Officer and provide strategic leadership for the institution's academic mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing academic planning, program quality, faculty affairs, and academic policy, with a strong focus on the advancement of teaching, learning, research, and student success. This pivotal role also involves shaping the future academic landscape, guiding program renewal, and ensuring that educational offerings are responsive to the needs of learners, communities, and the workforce. A key aspect of the position is the advancement of Indigenous engagement and reconciliation, as well as aligning academic priorities with the institution's long-term strategic and financial sustainability. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished academic leader with a proven track record in academic planning, quality, and innovation. They must be strategic, collaborative, and student-centered, with the ability to lead meaningful academic transformation and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups. A commitment to reconciliation, a sophisticated understanding of collegial governance, and the ability to work effectively with Senate, the Board, Deans, and faculty are essential. The role requires a leader with strong financial stewardship, integrity, humility, and sound judgment, who can balance consultation and consensus-building with decisiveness and accountability.
